Overview

  • The Crumble class kit bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, crucial in STEM education. Aimed at developing design, programming, and construction skills in children, this kit involves engaging projects including a coloured spinner and LED traffic lights. It makes abstract computing concepts tangible for Key Stage 2 pupils.

  • Geared towards Key Stage 2 curriculum requirements, the kit enhances understanding of electrical circuits and basic programming, fostering creativity and technological proficiency. It promotes collaborative work enhancing teamwork among pupils. The Crumble controller is ideal for Key Stage 2 pupils. It is robust and easy to connect up, uses a simple drag and drop programming language and directly drives motors, lamps and LEDs. The controller unit is re-used for all four projects in order to keep costs to a minimum.

  • The kit is complemented with a variety of support materials such as lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, pupil workbooks, and ‘how to’ blogs for each project. These are designed to help teachers deliver impactful STEM lessons, linking ideas to real-world applications. Contents may vary.
