Rebuilding the Karunga Primary School in Kenya

Posted on Sunday 10th July 2011

The TTS Charity Foundation was honoured and delighted to help in supporting the Kariandusi Trust with the rebuilding of the Karunga Primary School in Kenya in late 2009. Set on the edge of a shanty town approx 15km north of Gilgil, the school had unfortunately suffered from minimum maintenance over the last few years as you can see from the images below.

But in July 2011, rebuilding work was completed providing much needed learning facilities.Under the leadership of a new Head teacher along with the new classrooms, morale at the school has risen and the school is confident that they can raise the standard of education of all the children in Karunga.
