Overview
Robust, stable wooden panels that can be used on both sides to create displays or engaging activities for children. These may include things which could help harness their senses.
For example, add hanging buckets with strong smelling herbs or flowers to stimulate sense of smell. Add recordable buttons or sound making resources to helping engage listening, or attach curious mirrors with different surfaces or colours that provide interesting visual feedback.
The Large Sensory Station has a chalkboard on both sides, useful to pose questions to the children, like “ what can you hear?”, or to help guide an activity. The chalkboard is also ideal for mark making - simply hang buckets or other containers to offer different kinds of materials to mark make with. Works well with the TTS Preparation Station, offering access to extra resources and sensory materials.
The Small Sensory Station still provides enough space to be versatile. Add your own chalkboard, create a ‘Sound Station’ with recordable buttons or use more than one panel to help frame a sensory space.
