Ingredients needed:
- 1 garlic clove (crushed)
- 3 thinly sliced spring onions
- 1 small chopped onion
- 2 sliced carrots
- 1 red pepper (sliced)
- 1 good sized broccoli
- 1 handful of water chestnuts (sliced)
- soy sauce
- sesame oil
What we used:
- 1 chopping board
- 1 wok
- containers
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 kettle
- 1 colander
How to make:
Firstly, blanch broccoli in boiling water for one minute, remove and drain. Place into a container and add the spring onions, red pepper, carrots and the water chestnuts. Mix the garlic and the onions together into a separate container.
Next, heat the wok and add a splash of sesame oil, stir for a minute then add the onion and garlic. Mix well for about 5 mins before you add the vegetables.
Using a wooden spoon stir the vegetables until they have stared to go soft and add a tablespoon or 2 of soy sauce.
Stir together and serve.
Tip: Why not try the traditional way of eating the stir fry by using chopsticks.
