Developed based on our well-loved, award-winning Bee-Bot floor robot. The app makes use of Bee-Bot’s keypad functionality and enables children to improve their skills in directional language and programming.
Key Features
- The app replicates Bee-Bot’s controls, allowing children to practise programming through sequences of forwards, backwards, left and right 90 degree turns.
- There are 8 games to choose from with different themes – a garden theme, Romans and Winter Wonderland to name a few.

Benefits
The free downloadable Bee-Bot App is an excellent introduction for children to understand the controls of the Bee-Bot robot, before they begin programming it directly. The app replicates the controls of the Bee-Bot robot. It allows young learners to engage with coding concepts in a fun and interactive way.
If children have prior experience with programming Bee-Bot robots, playing some of the more advanced games on the app is an effective way to enhance their programming skills. These skills can then be applied by moving children onto programming Bee-Bot to navigate obstacle courses or follow multi-step routes on a robot mat.
The Games
There are eight different games to choose from on varying themes. Each game consists of six levels which offer progression and challenge for the player. There are easier games for complete novices (with little or no experience of using a Bee-Bot). Also, more advanced games for players who have experience of programming a Bee-Bot to perform more complex sets of demands.

Downloading the App
The app is completely free to download. It is an excellent precursor to hands-on-experience with the actual Bee-Bot robot. Also, it enables children with experience of using a Bee-Bot to practise advanced programming before applying it to the actual robot. A fun and interactive way to engage children in early programming skills.
