Mini Leader Outdoor Learning Collection

Overview

• This mini leaders outdoor learning collection features a wide variety of educational play based outdoor learning games and activities, carefully selected to provide hours of learning and fun. Comprises three tiers of game difficulty to allow for different skills and abilities to be catered for minimising alienating or excluding children and creating an inclusion play space.

• The outdoor learning collection includes over 20 activity cards written by Derby City School Sport Partnership, featuring games with illustrations, to enable child led activities in the playground along with the relevant kit to facilitate this. Cards are colour coded green, amber and red - green being starter activities up to more complex and tricky red games. Developed to encourage teamwork and collaborative play, comprise of games that includes all ability levels, and open for children to add their own interpretation for skill development and variation. Allows children to demonstrate responsibility and leadership skills over time.

• Utilising this kit in daily routines assists educators in achieving curriculum goals such as boosting regular physical activity engagement, enhancing PE and sport's profile school-wide, providing diverse sports experiences, and encouraging competitive sport participation. It's an invaluable asset for promoting inclusivity, ensuring every child can explore and develop their leadership capabilities within team settings.
