A realistic role play oven and microwave unit, part of the Modern Living Kitchen Collection.

• Developed with modern kitchens in mind. Includes clear black display to add numbers to support mathematical understanding, knobs that turn and a built in microwave.

• Taller, at eye level, this unit has been designed to consider children's physical development as they reach, bend, stretch and pull. Includes an accessible storage cupboard, ideal for a variety of different ovenware, encouraging children to consider what to choose to cook different foods. Full length hinges on doors which help prevent finger trapping.

• A reflection of modern kitchens in our own homes, this unit gives children a sense of realism as they explore contextual learning. E.g. children can think about the dangers and risks, in a safe space, that are involved in cooking and baking. Consider the added accessories that children may need to support this such as oven gloves and tea towels as they handle 'hot' dishes. It offers opportunities for children to think about simple, contextual maths as they set timers and think about how long food needs to be in the microwave for in comparison to the oven.

• Part of the Modern Living Collection, a range of role play kitchen and living room items, with a contemporary look and feel, providing children with a more realistic experience in their traditional home corner. Children are able to interact with this range of home-inspired furniture to support their confidence, independence and learning about the world around them. The range opens up lots of opportunities for contextual learning, fostering relationships, and communication and language development, amongst many other aspects of learning that are key to this age group.
