Each faith child has its own identity and bag full of artefacts that are important to their daily worship and religious way of life. As the teacher delivers the artefacts from the bag, they can talk about them and their associated customs and beliefs so that children will have a greater understanding of what it is like to be a nine year Sikh child. Share in their celebrations, traditions, beliefs and culture.
Welcome Baljit into your classroom! In his bag he has brought to show you a variety of items which are important to his daily life and worship. This includes a kara, a kangha, a patka, a storybook on the life of Guru Nanak and portraits and profiles of all ten gurus.
Also includes a Sikh doll dressed in traditional clothing.
