Simply place a card behind the door, adapting the theme to the children's interests and wait for them to discover what is there. You can support language enrichment by using the Fairy Doors for creating and re-telling stories, introduce new vocabulary by describing the pictures, play memory games, place photographs behind the doors or children's own work, Insert Cards and Muro board are sold separately.

The Fairy Doors can be used to support children in settling into new routines and transitions. You can insert cards of the daily routine, photographs of the children's families and key workers in the setting.

You might also wish to place different textured paper behind the doors to support children's sensory stimulation and encourage rich language around the description of the textures.
