Multiplication Counters Class Packs

A manipulative resource that develops a better understanding of the times table concept.

Each class pack covers a different times table and includes 12 individually packed sets of counters (90 in each pack), with the multiplicand on every counter. Pupils can investigate times tables by building up a ‘stairway’ to represent each one.

The concept of ‘repeated addition’ is clearly modelled and the hands-on approach allows pupils to firmly embed their knowledge. It will take 78 counters to make each 'multiplication stairway' which means there are spares included in every pack.
