Andy Wilson

I’ve been at RM since 2009, but it doesn’t feel anywhere near that long!  My role as Managing Director is to ensure that we are a very successful growing global company, which continually develops brilliant products and has great future plans. This is complemented by having a fantastic workforce, performing at a very high level every single day who are ambitious, dedicated, collaborative and completely focused on delighting our customers.

The merger of The Consortium and TTS businesses in July 2017 gives RM Resources the incredible opportunity to take two outstanding educational brands to markets around the world.

My working career has been deliberately very varied. After student holiday jobs at a supermarket, and as a greengrocer's driver (with a daily start time of 3 a.m.), I started my career in September 1987 following a summer spent as a football coach in the USA. My first job was in sales with Mars, where I also worked in production, as well taking a supply chain role for Mars in Australia.

Over time I have worked in some great market leading companies; and with many great people at Mars, Holsten, United Biscuits, Dyson, Whirlpool Appliances and Anglian Home Improvements. Products I love include both the rustic caravan (only TTS would design and make a wonderful resource like this for Early Years) and the Blue-Bot (a blue-tooth enabled evolution of Bee-Bot, which is perfect for the programming element of the computing curriculum, as well as being an incredibly versatile cross-curricular resource).

Outside work, I spend as much time as I can with my wife Angela and my two sons. I love travelling, football, playing golf, and trying to keep fit by running and cycling. I completed the New York marathon - never again!


Craig Lewendon

I have been with RM for 2 years, and started my career in the Group as the Group Financial Controller.  During my time in this role, I was very heavily involved in the due diligence work to complete the purchase of The Consortium business, and once completed, I was delighted to take the option to be seconded into the new board, as the Interim Finance Director.

My main drive here is to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the financial records, whilst trying to bring commercial control and insight to the business.  Part of this will be leading the transition to a single finance function across the RM Resources business.  The welcome and the openness I have received from all at TTS and Consortium has been incredible, and I am thankful to be a member of such a fantastic group of people.

Before working with RM, I have had a varied career in finance working in some great companies, from Private Equity based IT companies, to huge German listed entities, and one of the UKs leading manned-guarding companies, dealing with some large worldwide customers, but never losing sight of the fact that the people define successes of companies.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family of adrenaline junkies often finding myself at theme parks across the UK and US.  I am also a big sports fan, although more from a stadium/armchair role now, rather than playing.


David Hook

I Joined RM in 2001 which feels like only yesterday! Prior to taking up the role as RM Resources Operations Director, I’ve held several senior operational roles including RM Manufacturing Manager when RM manufactured PC’s in Oxfordshire.

My roles as Operations Director is pretty varied from making sure we have the most effective distribution network and contact center environments to support our customers both in the UK and Internationally, through to Strategic project, facilities management and Health & safety. Ultimately in a rapidly changing business environment my role is to deliver continuous improvement through the many great people we have working for RM Resources

My favorite things about working for RM is seeing individuals and products develop to their full potential through the constant challenge to improve what we do every day. I couldn’t pick a favorite product though, it’s just too difficult. It’s more the concept of new products. Creating something from nothing and doing it 400 times every year, year in, year out, is just unique.

Outside of work I really enjoy cooking for family and friends, however cycling and just being in the outdoors are always competing for my spare time.


John Kershaw

I’ve worked in the education resources market for ten years. I’ve always held roles where it’s all about the products and I love the tremendous variety it brings. As Procurement Director of RM Resources, working together with my highly experienced team, we’re responsible for managing all the various suppliers who make the fantastic products we sell, whether they’re sourced directly or designed and made to our exacting standards. One day it could be key consumables like glue sticks, poster paint or copier paper. The next it could be maths manipulatives or alphabet pebbles. No two days are alike.

Working across such a diverse range of products gives me a great overview of the total education supply landscape and I also get to use that insight as a member of the BESA Executive Council, a post I’ve held for the last five years.

Prior to moving into education, I spent most of my early career working in the domestic appliance market in a variety of marketing and commercial roles with well-known household brands such as Zanussi, Electrolux and Miele.

I’m married to Becky and I’ve got three sons, three dogs and two cats and one busy house. When I’m not working you’ll usually find me watching, and still occasionally playing rugby. I’m a lifelong Leicester Tigers fan, have managed my local Vets team for many years and like nothing more than watching my boys play.


Matt Palmer

I joined RM Resources as a consequence of the merger with The Consortium business in July 2017. My role is to ensure that we deliver revenue and profit growth in all our target markets, both UK & overseas, by fully leveraging both of our brands.

Throughout my time in the education sector I’ve always had a huge admiration for TTS. It’s a business that has grown substantially in last decade by understanding its customers incredibly well and delivering innovation and value to them consistently. To have the opportunity to work with TTS and bring two great education brands together feels like one of those ‘once in a life time’ opportunities; I could not be more excited to be here. Plus, I finally got to tell my daughter that I sell Bee Bots!

My early career was spent at Xerox, a truly great place to learn and develop. Xerox is one of the great innovators, full of creativity and energy and in that sense feels similar to TTS. I did all sorts of stuff there in all sorts of places – starting out in financial functions, moving across to marketing and then on to sales and general management. Before I came into the education market I was a UK director at Premier Farnell a global electronics distributor where I did both business and corporate development work.

When I’m at home I’m with my wife Paula and our 3 kids, who are aged between 11 and 16, in our home in Altrincham. We love to eat out, travel and on the odd occasions I do get a bit of time to myself you’ll either find me out on my cyclo-cross bike or at a Manchester City football match.


Richard Houlton

I joined RM Resources at the beginning of 2018 and every day has been a learning day since then. My role as Marketing & Digital Director for TTS and The Consortium is to ensure we have brilliant products developed and sourced to make education a little easier and that our communication and shopping experience is as smooth as it needs to be.

We are incredibly lucky to have a team of incredibly dedicated and knowledgeable people who work together to create and sell our ranges of specialist products and services. My career has been based in the retail industry working at WH Smith, B&Q, & Clarks. Three brands united by being the specialist in their field and proud of the level of service provided. I have brought all those experiences with me to this role.

Outside of work, I spend almost all my time with my wife and three teenage daughters, and our two dogs living an outdoor life in the Mendip Hills in Somerset. I also spend some time helping as part of a small group of people organise and run a festival in Somerset.


Tammy Parsons

Having joined RM in July 2017 I was instantly enthused by the genuine loyalty, commitment and passion seen across the business. The level of knowledge and enthusiasm to provide exceptional customer service, coupled with an aspiration to inspire and innovate is infectious.

We truly value our people and recognise the contribution that each and every individual makes every day. Working in partnership across functions, we aim to promote a collaborative, inclusive culture with a single goal to give every child, every day, a reason to love learning.

Prior to joining RM the majority of my career has been spent in logistics and distribution, alongside financial services and the public sector. Partnering with commercial and operational colleagues, I have supported scale change and transformation projects, alongside new business ventures, acquisitions and diversification opportunities.

With a focus on engagement and performance, as an HR team, our role is to partner the business and provide support in achieving our future business plans. We have a commitment to developing our people and creating an environment where talent can grow and reach their potential.
