Had a terrible recent experience with TTS. Firstly we ordered some remote controlled cars for our EYFS children. One day, when using them, the pupils said they could smell burning. One of the cars was faulty and highly dangerous. We sent back to TTS but it took a very long time to resolve and for TTS to send us the cars back fixed or a credit note. I had to do all the chasing up. We didn't receive invoices for any or our orders for months either.
Secondly, we ordered about £1000 worth of Blue-Bots. We were so excited to launch them during British Science Week but when they arrived, the docking stations came with 2-prong (not UK) plugs. I was told to send the plugs back so I packed them up and awaited courier collection. A week or so later, I was horrified when TTS sent me UK plugs but just the actual plug section, not the leads! Feeling slightly puzzled, I called TTS who explained that they had told me to "return the plugs only". In my opinion, I classed a plug as the plug plus the cable/lead attached to it! I felt really cross that we had spent a considerable amount of money and TTS were at fault yet I was left to faff about both chasing up the complaint and then having to unscrew the EU plugs at the end of the leads and fix on UK ones. It was the error of TTS not me! I ordered presuming they would be UK standard plugs! All through this, I contacted TTS via email/phone, taking up my breaks/lunch as I teach full-time. TTS offered free postage off our next order and no apology for this until I wrote a formal complaint. Even then, I did not get a polite response for over a week & had to forward the email again. It is clear that TTS just care about your cash and not the customer. This whole experience took up so much of my time that I would never use TTS again and would strongly recommend others do not either. Not only is their customer service appalling, the products are unsafe and substandard. AVOID! When I looked back at the website, I noticed I was not the only customer to be sent the incorrect plug. I wish I had saved myself the hassle and had read the feedback comments before ordering.
