The Anglo Saxon discovery near Lichfield in July 2009, known as the 'Staffordshire Hoard' is the most significant discovery of our time. Over 5000 individual items, thought to be 'War Bounty' are celebrated with this five piece pack. Set includes a wonderful reproduction of the 'Pectoral Cross,' a Serpent Ring, two Pendants and a small reproduction of the Sutton Hoo mask, so that that find is not forgotten.In July 2009, Terry Herbert, a metal detectorist decided to try his luck in farmland close to his home in Hammerwich parish, near Lichfield in Staffordshire. The rest is history, as they say, he discovered a fabulous collection of Anglo Saxon artefacts that soon became know as the 'Staffordshire Hoard'The Pectoral cross is made of gold. The stone is red and presumed to be a garnet.
