I haven't used the resource yet, but I have begun to prepare the sessions. I noticed that there is a typo on one of the cards, duplicated in the CD version. In Game 4, the "helpful hint" for adding -s and -es to words is very misleading. The /iz/ has been typed with a capital "I" so the sound appears to be /Iz/ = LZ. It is very important to get this rule right as it applies both to plural nouns and to third person singular simple present verbs, which are a constant source of confusion for EAL pupils. The sessions will be run by TAs, who may be using the game card itself as their only source of information (I am only familiar with the rule because I have also taught EFL). Of course I can alert our people to this mistake, but it would be nice to be able to trust the resource completely!
Other than this, however, I think it is a very good resource, providing practice and reinforcement at the right levels and (very importantly) within the time-slot we have to use.
