A collection of 48 social situation stories for teaching social and life skills to children with Autism and related disabilities.
Written by a paediatric Occupational Therapist, these lively stories will engage children and help teach them basic skills as well as making them more comfortable in dealing with and reacting to social cues.
Examples of stories include situations such as being teased, understanding when a friend does not want to play, other people's birthdays, making choices and appropriate touch.
The stories are designed to be used in a school setting with a teacher or at home with a parent or carer. Stories included are both from school and home settings.
A4, 48 pages, Age 5-11 years.
"The stories were written by a paediatric occupational therapist and one gets the feeling that they have been written for real children facing problems with real situations and, as such, they provide a wonderful starting point for anyone new to this format." Advisory Teacher

It's a lovely little resource but perhaps better for KS1 rather than KS2 children.
