Developing Speaking and Listening skills is essential for children to become confident and effective communicators. From an early age children should be encouraged to share their ideas, listen to others, and be able to work in groups and take turns. Early Talk is vital and we have a whole range of resources to encourage the Every Child a Talker (ECAT) initiative, helping children to develop their communication skills! It's not just about talk, children also need to be effective listeners, so we have included a great selection of resources such as listening games, audio stations and books on CD to helping children realise how important listening is. Drama and role play also play an important part in children developing communication skills, with a great selection of resources to support these areas there is something for everyone!
