Here's a great way to use the Talk Time Cards, taken from 50 Sparkling Ideas - Using Talk Time Cards in the Primary Classroom
A Sparkling Idea for: practising audio memory and matching skills in a fun way.
You will need:
- Talk Time Cards, laid out in a grid
What you do...
Record matching sounds onto pairs of cards and then mix them up in the grid, leaving all of them blank. As in the well established turn-over-the-cards format, children need to match up the pairs again by playing the sounds and remembering their position but there is plenty more fun to be had in this original version. The pairs could be two identical sounds ('cow' and 'cow'), two sounds with the same theme ('cow' and 'Moo' or 'cow' and 'la vache') or a picture and a sound, the possibilities are endless!
