A vital part of the mummification process, the canopic jars were used to contain the internal organs that had been removed from the body. The set includes four jars, and heads of the four gods known as the sons of Horus - Imsety, Qebehsenuef, Hapy, and Duamutef - that were used to seal in the contents. Hand carved from stone, the colours of the jars may vary.
