This coat is the perfect prop to re-tell the well loved Bible story of Joseph and his coat of many colours.
'Joseph was the most loved of all of his father's, Jacob, twelve sons. When his mother, Rachel, died, Jacob gave Joseph a beautiful coat of many colours as a gift, making Joseph's brothers very jealous. Joseph also tells his family about two dreams he had, the first in which 11 sheaves of wheat bow down to his sheave, and a second where the sun, moon, and 11 stars all bow to him as well. Eventually the brothers have had enough and ambush Joseph and throw him into a pit! They then sell him as a slave, rip up the coat, dip it in goat's blood and tell Jacob he was killed.'
