Pupils of any age love to see themselves on screen and using I Can Present and a green screen allows them to be transported anywhere. Using a technique called chroma keying, it is possible to add in pictures behind the ‘presenter’. You can produce presentations that are topical and curriculum focused.
They can dress up in costume and appear in front of the Taj Mahal, be deep in the Amazon jungle, inside a Roman Fort, presenting the news or weather, or be inside a mine, the locations and possibilities are endless.
They can collect the pictures that will appear behind them and order them for their presentation. Next, add a script to go with each picture, or use the teleprompt for bullet points. You could even add text in foreign language. The script will appear on an autocue during the recording.
New – you can now use PDF files as background images. Try exporting your PowerPoint or Keynote presentations as PDF files and using them.
Not got a green screen? Not a problem as you can use the split screen or new ‘Picture in Picture’ options to create great presentations.
Setup is really easy and quick, just shoot your video, review it and shoot again if need be. Then export to Windows Movie Maker or iMovie to add those final professional looks and then publish.
