Debate and learn about key historical events and people with these fantastic sets written by History exerts Alf and Sue Wilkinson. Fact or Opinion is a set of eight topics, which each have between 10 and 15 factual or 'debatable' statements about them. The aim is for children to work out which statements are completely factual through discussion and research, and to discover which statements are not entirely factual. This is a great tool for individual work, working in pairs, working in groups or as a whole class activity. Statements are provided in a handy card format, making them easy to distribute and pass around, and the suggested responses are supplied for the teacher on the background notes. Covers curriculum content at KS1 and 2.
