This pack gives you all you need to plan a successful short topic on Evolution. It begins with the first life on Earth, shows evolution through a variety of fossils and environments, focuses on dinosaurs and then leads on to Darwin and modern evolution that is taking place right in front of us. It can be used as the backbone to link to many other topics such as dinosaurs and fossils as well as the Ice Age, microbes, variation and Darwin.
It consists of a book and a CD. The book provides step-by-step explanations in double-page spread format, including questions and facts in a 'Did you know?" box. The CD contains photocopiable Teacher Resources, including descriptions of why each spread was written and background information, lesson plans with embedded activities, objectives, outcomes and so on, an introduction overview video, and comprehension workbooks based on AFs, so that children can also use the topic as a stepping stone for literacy.
