Developed by leading advisor Alice Sharp, these resources have been designed to improve partnerships with parents.
Parents play a huge role as the child's first educator and these bags have been specifically designed to allow parents to take an active role in their child's development.
Parents can help children to practice pincer grips, tripod grips, developing hand arches and practise pre-writing skills. These early skills help children to develop the muscles and control that is so vital when it comes to holding a pencil properly.
Each bag has different resources and activity notes for children and carers to have fun with:
Nip and Grip - Use the tweezers and pebbles to pick and transfer, you could also use other small parts. With ideas for developing mathematical language
Fine Motor Skills Liquid Lift - Squeeze, Lift and Control with the water droppers and have fun with messy play activities
Developing Hand Arches - More activities with a different set of tweezers including role play
Developing Manipulation - Learn how to move objects and develop in hand manipulation whilst also sorting, counting and matching
Developing Mark Makings Skills - A set of paint brushes with different grips with lots of activities for expressive art and design and mark making
Set of 5 bags, each complete with activity notes.
For ages 3yrs+.
