Local Charities
A small part of the proceeds of TTS has paid for a much needed new minibus for Derby Kids' Camp holiday scheme. It helps to provide a much needed break for disadvantaged children, these children will benefit from social or personal development and it provides a respite period for parents or carers.

Jan-09
- Children In Need - TTS held a raffle for Children In Need raising £93. The Directors kindly offered their services as raffle prizes including a car wash, job swap and buying lunch. £93 Cash donation was made.
- Urban Fresh Fruit, Duffield - A couple from Duffield are planning to build a nursery in Ecuador with the profits from their environmentally friendly healthy eating business based in Duffield. A £200 product donation for the Nursery has been made.
- Jim Craddock, Moeing through Movember - Jim Craddock from Modernstar is growing a moustache to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyondblue, the national depression initiative. A £100 cash donation was made.
- Hilton Scout & Guide Group - Hilton (Derbyshire) Scout & Guide group are holding a coffee morning to raise funds after vandals caused £5,000 worth of damage to the new Scout hut which is currently being built. Villagers have spent 15 years fundraising for this new building. A £50 cash donation has been made.

- Sandra Maycock - St John's School, Belper - Matt Pendleton nominated fellow teacher, Sandra Maycook, to recieve a donation. Sandra is travelling to Nairobi to work in schools helping children prepare for leaving school. A £250 product donation was made.
- Amanda's Action Club - Amanda's Action Club is providing the entertainment at Harrods Christmas party for 250 disabled, deaf, sick and disadvantaged children. A £170 Product Donation was made.
- Jeans for Genes - The £100 raised from October's dress down day was donated to Jeans for Genes
- PASIC - The Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children are holding a Christmas raffle to raise funds. The tickets are to be given out to staff. A £50 cash donation was made.
- Derbyshire Scouts - Derbyshire Scouts are holding a raffle as part of their annual ping pong ball race to raise funds for a new building. The tickets are to be given out to staff. A £50 Cash donation was made.
- Families are Best Charity, Nottingham - Famalies are best are a local adoption charity based in Nottingham. They try to find homes for difficult to place children who can no longer live with their families. The charity is holding a Christmas party in Nottingham for the children they have placed. A Selection of Christmas Party gifts will be donated
- Alisha Ferris, Annesley - Seven year old Alisha from Annesley has a life threatening heart defect and is asking for help to continue her favourite hobby. Alisha's family are fundraising to provide her with an electric bike. A £200 cash donation has been made.
- Toy Service Derby - The toy service collects toys and equipment for underpriviledge kids in the Derby area. A donation of products is to be made.
Oct-08
- Blackwell Primary School, Alfreton - A donation of supports equipment was made to this local school after it was unfortunately broken into during the school holidays. Over £250 of sports equipment was stolen.
- Derbyshire Young Achievers Awards - our foundation sponsored these worthy awards with £250. The awards are to celebrate the most deserving youngsters in Derbyshire, they include recognising children for bravery, helping others, community involvement and sporting or academic successes.
Sept-08
- Clic Sargent - TTS Donated large numbers and letters to Clic Sargent children's cancer charity. A £100 product donation was made.
- Cancer Reasearch UK - Carly Wood took part in the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere to raise funds for Cancer Research. Carly came 370 out of 1700 swimmers ! A £50 Cash donation was made plus September's dress down money.
- Huthwaite Action Group - Huthwaite Action Group is run by local volunteers and provides fun and craft days in the school holidays. These fun days help keep the children off the streets and give them something fun to take part in. A further donation of craft products was made worth £200
July-08
- All Saints School, Huthwaite - Helen Denman nominated All Saints school to recieve a product donation as they have recently been vandalised and property stolen. A £100 product donation has been made.
- St Andrews Church, Lesley Fiddler from St Andrews Church is holding a free craft event for children at the County Show in Moorgreen. A £100 product donation has been made.
- Kingsmill Special Care Baby Unit - Steve Harris is taking part in a charity football match to raise funds for Kingsmill Special Care Baby Unit. A £50 cash donation has been made.
June-08
- Derby Kids Camp - Sue Nicholls is kindly providing the children at Derby Kids Camp with free singing sessions. TTS have also provided Sue with £100 of music products for the camp.
- Samaritans Purse was nominated to receive the £80 TTS raised through the Easter raffle.
- Anthony Bek Primary School was vandalised in the school holidays resulting in damage to classrooms and the contents, the school also had to close to children for over a week. £50 product donation.
May-08
- The Mary Erskine and Stewart's Melville Junior School is holding Bee-Bot races to raise funds for Children in Need - £90 product donation (2 x Bee-Bots)
- Quarrydale School has recently been successful in its submission to become a Specialist Science College. Product donation to help run a Summer school on Renewable Energy - £50 product donation
- Bluebell Wood Hospice provides care for children with terminal illnesses - £50 product donation
Apr-08
- Caudwell House Children's Home based in Derbyshire, TTS donated 60 Easter eggs.
- PASIC (Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children) is a local organisation based in Kirkby. They are organising an Easter Party for the children and their families, TTS donated 60 Easter eggs.
- The Joshua Foundation provides holidays and experiences for children and their families, where the child is diagnosed with terminal cancer. They were having an Easter Breakfast in Nottingham and a Star Wars Troop delivered the eggs, TTS donated 60 Easter eggs.
- Laura Marshall, a TTS employee £50 cash Local Sponsorship to run the Race for Life.
- The Samaritans Purse Shoebox appeal organises sending thousands of shoeboxes filled with goods to children in developing countries that would otherwise not get a Christmas gift. £200 a year for three years.
- Turn on the Tap is campaigning to make safe water assessable in developing countries - £150 sponsorship for Damian Stothard's fundraising. Put water bottles in offices for staff to donated spare change.
- Angus Open Award Duke of Edinburgh Group - This Duke of Edinburgh Group are fundraising for a trip to Romania to work with disadvantaged children - £50 cash donation.

- Stanhope Primary School, Patricia Peel is fundraising to enable her to attend ASBO in Denver as part of her degree - £50 cash donation
- Anna Wilson from TTS Accounts is running the Silverstone ½ marathon for the NSPCC - £50 sponsorship
- Huthwaite Community Action Group provide free activities/fun days for local children - £300 craft material donation (£75 for 4 events)
- Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre provide holidays to Skegness for disadvantaged Derbyshire children - £50 cash donation
- Fairplay provide services/support for local disabled children and their families in Derbyshire - £50 cash donation
- Activenture organises residential adventure weeks for young people with disabilities and special needs throughout the schools holidays - £50 craft materials donation
- Ilkeston School/South Normanton Couple Pupils from the school organised a fashion show to raise funds to build an extension at a orphanage in Zimbabwe £50 cash donation
- Don Morgan from Mini-Mice is going to work in a school in Brazil to teach English to needy children - £50 cash donation
- Sarah is fundraising to purchase a specially adapted car to enable her to get her severely disabled child out and about in the community - £50 product donation
- Debz4coffee is a small local support group based in Calverton. They arrange days out and activities and provide support for children with disabilities and their families - £50 product donation
Mar-08
- St. Johns Ambulance £50 cash Local "St John's Ambulance Waterwing. The Ambulance provides free of charge river boat trips for local Disabled and disadvantaged groups."
- Derby Children Holiday Centre £50 cash Local Raising funds to provide holidays to Skegness for disadvantaged Derbyshire children
- Fair Play £50 cash - Provides trips activities and support for disabled children and their families in Derbyshire.
- Stan Hope Primary School £25 - Raising funds for a trip to ASBO in Denver as part of degree.
Feb-07
- Richard Street £100 cheque - "Chernobyl Children's Project raises funds to send children from Belarus to the UK for four weeks in the summer. The dust causes radiation levels to rise in the summer therefore it is important for as many children as possible to leave their contaminated homeland for a few weeks of fresh air and food.
This can add two years to their life span."

This is a small start, but together we can make a big difference.
At TTS we all contribute in our own way - we buy our staff birthday cards from www.charitycards.co.uk who make a donation to our chosen charity for each card purchased. We also have raffles to raise money for local charities:
