Using TTS profits to help others - Free resources for travelling teachers
For the last 5 years TTS have set aside money to support teachers doing VSO and the like. We have never yet turned down a request. This is a growing trend, as teachers aim to give even more then they already have. If you are going on programmes such as VSO please contact us as we will help provide free resources to developing countries. Last year we gave to over 40 requests, let's double that (and some) this year.

Kariandusi School Trust - Building schools 'in the bush' in Kenya
You have enabled us to support the Kariandusi Trust and (as this goes to press) we have been out to see their sterling work. Since they were founded in 2003, they have completed four purpose-built primary schools providing 1750 children with an environment conductive to learning. Another four new schools are in the planning stage and will be completed by 2010, funds permitting. Further details on www.kariandusi.co.uk
A small part of the proceeds from the sale of TTS, along with the funds generated from you supporting TTS over the last decade is helping build a new school there - Well done!
You, along with our friends in the Kenyan community are providing the funding for 3 primary school teacher's salaries. A little money goes a long way in the developing world and we all know how much difference an interested adult makes in a child's life.
You are also funding scholarships for some of the children who make it through that school and go onto high school. Perhaps your school could help support this, visit www.langalanga.org.uk
The children working with Kariandusi and Langalanga Trust say Thank you!

Helping schools in Africa / India
We meet many people who help out those less fortunate. Large charities fulfil some of this, but there are many other avenues that require direct help. We try to feature smaller charities we find, who could benefit from TTS input.
